Air Liquide has signed a contract with Turkey Petkim
Air Liquide has signed a long term contract with the petrochemical group Petkim.
The agreement provides for the supply of oxygen, nitrogen and compressed air to the site of Aliaga in Izmir, west of the country.
As part of this agreement, Air Liquide will acquire three production units for air gases in Petkim in Aliaga, a total production capacity of nearly 400 tonnes of oxygen per day and, in addition, will invest in a new production YangO2 a capacity of 400 tons per day of oxygen.
This unit will be designed and built by Air Liquide Engineering teams and commissioning is planned for the second half of 2013.
Air Liquide will also produce liquid gas for other industries in the region of Izmir.
The total amount of investment, Air Liquide is more than 60 million euros.
